About Me

I am a Certified Health Coach, Certified Life Coach, Certified Health and Wellness Coach, CA Registered Nurse, and CA Real Estate Broker. I have a special interest in healthy aging and the transitions that challenge us on our different journeys. I have the benefit of having "recreated" my life several times and I am now bringing together all of my experiences to support others as they determine goals and work towards creating optimal physical, emotional, and financial health and wellness.

Covid-19 forced us all to make changes and sometimes a negative turns into a positive, as it did for me. After 10+ years as a Registered Nurse educator and coach for a physician-supervised weight loss clinic, my job became a Covid casualty. So I decided to pursue my coaching certifications and develop my own Health & Wellness coaching practice. As an added benefit, this allows me to broaden my reach with my clients and work with the whole person. My role helping people (of all genders, ages, and different health conditions) with their weight loss and maintenance goals incorporated so many other facets of their life: Physical, emotional, and social issues, as well their financial and work challenges. I was often frustrated by the limited time I could share with each of my patients. Coaching allows the time needed to more fully work with the pieces of each person's puzzle. As a Registered Nurse, I have worked in numerous acute care settings and locations. I am an active Realtor/Real Estate Broker with extensive experience working with buyers and sellers of residential and income property. I traveled internationally by sailboat for several years in my 20's and I continue to travel whenever possible. Although I chose to be single most of my adult life, focusing on career and travel, when I did choose to marry I also became a full time stepmom to two young kids who are now successful adults. I also discovered the challenges of divorce. I have moved numerous times but I enjoyed my last home for 20 years; I downsized in 2019 and I have been working towards simplifying my life even more despite the complications of the world we live in now. And I have up close and personal experience with a myriad of health and wellness issues within my circle of family and friends.

I was deeply affected by the passing of my mother in 2019. After a long career as an ICU nurse, Mom was able to travel extensively and live a very full and active life in her retirement until she had a stroke on a ski slope at Heavenly Valley, just weeks before her 80th birthday. In keeping with her beliefs and values, my mother was an organ donor and was able to share the benefit of her good health to pass on a better life to two other people. My mother's choices in life, that carried over into her passing, are inspirational to me. I am now a strong supporter of organ donation and an Ambassador for Donor Network West, a very worthy organization.

I strongly believe that any one problem is tied to so many other factors that also need to be brought into the solution. My coaching will guide you to find your balance with all of your factors. I provide a safe and quiet space for you to really think, an objective voice to help you find clarity, guidance for you to create your plan and define your actions, as well as the support and accountability you need to be consistent and successful.
